The Weeknd & Anitta - São Paulo TRACK REVIEW
Abel Tesfaye, more famously known as The Weeknd, is a Canadian R&B/pop singer and songwriter. He is currently one of the most famous artists ever and is, as of November 4, 2024, in 2nd place worldwide for most monthly listeners on Spotify, with an outstanding 121M monthly listeners. Around a month ago, he announced that he is going to release an album titled “Hurry Up Tomorrow”. And in preparation, he released a two singles. The first one is called “Timeless” featuring Atlanta rapper Playboi Carti, which I thought the track was a pretty good single overall. And then he released a new single called “Sāo Paulo”, and for those of you who aren’t aware, São Paulo is a city in Brazil, which would make sense because it also features Brazilian singer Anitta. I heard it was a Brazilian funk song, so my hopes were down because I’m not the biggest fan of the genre.
